Statistics
are now getting thrown at us after every game, make of them what you will, but unfortunately, I would rather be a Colls supporter with 3 points, rather than a bunch of stats saying we were the better side!!!

Re: Statistics
Again leads to the striker issue, creating a load but not finishing them, must be someone we can push the boat out for, or has the manager not got the contacts?
Re: Statistics
Fact is we should have had the game wrapped up at half time.
Yes we were easily the best team for 45 minutes playing up the slope.
The second half, playing downhill, we were terrible largely resorting to a big punt from the keeper that just went straight back. We stopped playing football.
Both goals conceded came through the left back position, something I predicted would happen cause the number 3 was consistently out of position and left acres of space on the outside that one of their quicker players exploited.
Another striker would be useful but for me the most important aspect is to sort out the defence. No one gets out of this league by conceding more than a goal a game.

Re: Statistics
like you say Philip, we should have had the game wrapped up by 1/2 time. this means that we are in need of a striker much more than a defender, does it not?

Re: Statistics
Full back areas seen to have been an issue for a while, if both goals came down the sides (according to the report), maybe we need a couple of full backs.
Re: Statistics
Surely 21-22 players as currently used is too many?

Re: Statistics
21 does sound a lot after 4 games but it does include substitutes so that's 14 players. Add to that players being unavailable through holidays which I think was 3 at the start of the season. Then there are players who have picked up injuries which I believe is 2 but could be more.
That totals 19 already so 1 more change due to a player being released leaves 1 player change through being dropped.
It soon adds up to get to 21.
The real test is how many have been used at the end of the season, if it's still in the 20s that will be fine but if it gets to 80 plus like last season I would say the club will have lost it's way.

Re: Statistics
Well that seems to have sorted out one problem.
Just need to sort out the problem at the other end.
