New Team Required! Empty New Team Required!

Well then, if this is the best we can do, then we had better get back to the drawing board.
Tonked by 2 teams who won't even feature at the end of the season and only one goal scored after 3 games.
1874 don't seem to be having a problem so why are we?
Simple answer is the team is not good
enough!

1874 like us have not made wholesale changes but have adapted better. Were you at the game BluesBob? You'd have seen that on another day we score 4 or 5 ourselves, some outstanding saves from Liverpool keeper and we missed a penalty. One goal is deflected but other 3 are shockers. It's not a new team but certainly a new back 4, same old defensive problems as last year and the goals have dried up

I wasn't at the game, but my appearance there or not wouldn't make any difference to the scoreline or result. It seems to me that whenever Grimezie isn't playing, we have a powder puff midfield, no bite or determination to win the ball.
That said, the defence is a shambles from the keeper upwards and Wrighty and Joe are now being found out!
This now brings me on to Tuesday V Barlick. Lose this one and the s **t should really hit the fan, even at this early stage of the season. I bet West Auckland are laughing their socks off and may even send their reserve team. For our sake lets hope they do!!

Grimes is without doubt a massive loss, apparently he could be back for the weekend.

Lots just below par for whatever reason. Ben is a class keeper in this league but not at his best at moment. Defence is all over the place and needs changing quickly, can't beleive Alexander played over Lloyd again. Hoskin has to play central. Gareth Peet we were told would be a revelation?? Just not seeing it.

Charlie holt was great end of last season and we've not seen him since?

We can all be managers on here, but it does seem that some pretty basic fundamental decisions are going array with our manager. Feeling the pressure? Too much expectation? Lost the dressing room? We can ask them all, one things for sure, with every defeat the next game doubles in importance.

New Team Required! Empty Re: New Team Required!

It's not the start that we would have wished for but then it is still early days.

I did not see the AFC Liverpool match as I was watching England demolish India in the test match.
Lets not forget that this is an England team that had not won a test match for ten games and was regarded by many as being "in crisis". Now with 2 wins in two games, and one of those wins in two and a half days, they look to be back on song. Granted there are still a few positions in that England team that require improvement but you will find that in any team no matter how well or how poorly they are playing.

I draw this parallel to remind people that there are often fine lines in sport and only a little fine tuning to a team may be all that is required. 3 games do not a season make. Wholesale changes are not warranted so early in the season. Have a little faith, and a lot of support, and get behind the team with positivity.

If we loose 10 out of the first 12 I might agree with the comment "New team required", but until then I for one am backing the team.

Probably not now! I must say team selection was bob on tonight, Lloyd and Charlie Holt rewarded for patience and both played well. Ben Hoskin moved into the middle where he was deservedly man of the match.
