1874 Northwich.
Shakey looking defence with two wingers acting as full backs.
Pitch looks worse than Wembley.

Well the defence did us proud, they worked hard for each other and limited 1874 to a handful of chances. That said 3 late chances for 1874 have to go down as misses on their part.
The pitch played as bad as it looked and made for a disappointing spectacle of a match. 1874 will be glad of a ground of their own if and when they move back to Northwich.
With a plethora of home games in the next two months Nelson must look to build on the 3 clean sheets in the last 5 games coupled with more goals at the other end. A string of wins could put us at the head of the chasing pack and give us an outside chance of getting to the top. A big ask but not impossible, just improbable.

Re: 1874 Northwich.
Engrossing game I thought, both teams had chances to win it. Can't complain about the back 4, clearly cobbled together through nessessity and did well. Some defenders are required, although I hear Liam Blades has been training with Nelson.
These next 4 home games will decide the season for the Blues, win them all and they are in it, lose any and top 4 best on offer - still not bad for a first season mind
