The Derby! Empty The Derby!

Probably the best shape that the two clubs have been in for over a decade, forget the cup win last season, this will be a completely different proposition. It has all the makings of a classic, let's hope it survives the weather!

Too many missing for me, staple of our side - Wright, Melling, O'Neill, Hoskin, Hession. Can't help but worry about a wafer thin squad. Chance to take stock now and build again for next season, ensure we finish above Colne in league which will probably give us top 4, make a team to go up again. STILL the best position the club has been in for a long time, lost the battle yesterday but now to ensure we win the war

This season was always one to take stock before mounting a challenge for top spot and promotion next season. The fact that Nelson have not applied to join thr Northern Premier League tells you that.

Can't comment on the game as I was on the annual christmas walk to Haworth so couldn't go. Look to put together a good strong winning run in the new year.

When you look at how Mark operates it makes sense. His first 3/4 season he took stock then won it the year after. Can't see any reason why he's not doing the same in this league.
