Snippet from my programme notes below TB....

I did an interview with the Nelson Leader this week in regards to our young striker Mamoke on trial in Portugal. Mamoke hasn’t been here long, a brief cameo in the first team scoring on his debut and subsequent game time in friendlies and Dev squad matches scoring in every game has been monitored by a number of big clubs. He came to Nelson having spent nearly 2 years at man City as well as time at Blackburn Rovers and trials at a number of other similar level clubs. Having just turned 18 and recently recovering from an injury, he came to Nelson to get fully fit and get further development from our coaching team. As an English 6ft 2 striker, with pace strength and ability to score goals, it’s clear to see why pro clubs are tracking him but until he gets an offer he’s happy to be part of our Development Squad playing with lads the same age and continuing his development at Nelson FC. The story is great PR for the football club but Mamoke is not getting ahead of himself, he knows he has a long way to go yet.

He's with us for the training and development mostly, he enjoys coming to our coaching sessions and playing with our development squad lads. He might get the odd 15 minutes off the bench for the first team when he's back (if he doesn't get signed up within the week) like he did against Squires Gate but its nice to see top young talent from the NW keen to play for our Development Squad, hopefully the upcoming open trials will throw up a few more who can be with us for the long term.

If he is good enough he should be getting more than the odd 15 minutes off the bench for the first team.
