West Didsbury Away Empty West Didsbury Away

Well still no forward on the pitch and probably cost us the points. More than matched them in the first half and probably shaded the 2nd half on the balance of play and chances created.

As so often happens in many games, if you don't take your chances you get punished and so it was in the 2nd half as Nelson enjoyed a great spell of possession and growing in confidence, a poor cross field pass from midfield was easily cut out. A defender caught out of position and one deflected shot later and the poor keeper is picking the ball out of his net.

We know it is a cruel game but for me lots of positive signs and in truth, just a few players short of a very good team competing at the business end of this division.

Last season we played there and lost 3-0 and failed to register a single shot at goal, so much improved from a club point of view and the cost of the team drastically reduced so clear indication the club is moving in the right direction as their efforts tonight deserved a point at the very least.

Captain sent off for a moment of madness but also for me should have only been a booking.

New signing Richie Cowan had a very good debut and slotted into the back line like he had been there all season so just the attack to sort out as without Zak Dale no one looks like they have the composure required at this level.

I am sure the management trio are working on this but no reason to hit the panic button as the league season is barely a week old but it would be nice to see the lads defending a lead that their play has deserved at times.

Other than the FA cup it's a dismal start to the season. Great having a young side but how many are good enough?

Can't wait for a wet day in Lancashire tomorrow. We are in form, in fact it's the best team we've had in years, but it's a cup game and anything can happen. See you tomorrow

At Colne Blue - we only need one forward not a couple.

At True Blue - As most certainly not been a dismal start to the season in any way whatsoever.

You obviously don't go to the games as we could and should have taken the points v Padiham and West Didsbury based on chances and v Atherton Colls were down to 10 men with defender getting treatment after being punched when they scored the second. Ironically, the player who scored was the one that threw the punch and shouldn't have been on the pitch but again should have at least a point from that game.

If we had been totally outplayed I could understand your view but you obviously haven't seen the games.
