Abbey Hey defeat
First game I've managed to hobble along to this season, new hip in tact!
Wasn't a classic first half, but we didn't come out of the blocks until 2-0 down! Could have salvaged something late on. Abbey Hey certainly one of our bogey teams

negative again im afraid
Hello jk, hope you are ok.As regards the latest of 5 straight defeats, whether Abbey are one of our bogey teams or not, having lost their last two games by a 3-0 scoreline they should have been there for the taking with a team capable of competing in this division. As it stands, we are relegation candidates even at this early stage and I wonder what the new management team are going to do to sto

Re: Abbey Hey defeat
I agree with you JK but we are not taking our chances and desperately need a proven goal scorer. I thought we defended well last night on the whole but opposition seem to score half chances and punish us but suppose that is what you get when you are down near the bottom.
Also agree with Bob that we should have beaten them last night as they were nowhere near as good as Atherton , Padiham or West Didsbury.
I noticed on NWC webpage we have signed Ryan Thompson (Centre Half), Sam Reeves (Winger), Sam Crook and Tom Williams but don't know the latter names.
Also still have several injuries to contend with but all that aside a goal-scorer is an absolute must or we will find we have too much ground to make up.
I think the social side of things has gone awry and doesn't do the club any good if they want supporters to feel part of it. Need to get back on track and quick!!

Totally agree with comments about social side of things, seems to be no optimism at present. One good thing is that there is time to turn things round, priority must be to sign more physical type players.
