He was top class today, all the young lads were. Grimes back to his best, and when the changes came on they made us solid and compact. 10/10

BluesBob is entitled to his opinion like everyone else and was quite right in his comments about 'if we defend like that' at the Daisy Hill game because we were awful at the back.
I am sure Lloydy and Finchy are honest lads and will agree that they didn't play to the standard that they both have reached in previous matches.
It is a team game and the whole team didn't play particularly well but we won and the scoreline is the only thing that is remembered at the end of the season.
Nice to see normal service resumed - for Lloydy at least, recording arguably his best performance in an Admirals shirt this season and still only 19.

In the first 20 games this season Nelson conceded 44 goals and kept only one clean sheet.
In the last 13 games 17 goals have been conceded and four clean sheets have been kept.
That, for me, is a significant improvement and puts Nelson's defence up there with the best in this league.
From conceding 2.2 goals per game down to 1.3 goals per game just proves that the defence was poor in the early part of the season but is now much better.
With at least another 12 games to go to the end of the season I think the improvement can continue to less than a goal a game and a good number of clean sheets to come.

Great stats them, interesting in Mark's interview he speaks specifically about them doing work on defensive play so we can't ask for more than that. I'd fully expect the same back 4 in place next weekend, infact no reason to change a winning team.
Interesting also to see the change in discipline last two games, no dramas from the bench, no bookings on the pitch! You must have had a work Phillip!
