Signings??

It all seems to have gone quiet on this front. Know that we have been using trialists on the friendlies but the results don't seem to give much confidence for the coming season. Perhaps we will see a full team out against ASFC and judge the season possibilities on this performance & result.

Have to agree Bob, do we know who the trialists are? Generally last few years we've competed well with Stanley so it will be interesting to see how we do. Also be interesting to see if they bring a full team, Colne played their kids.

Warren Beattie is a good player to be fair

Thought Brierly and Beattie were good against Stanley.

Apparently we competed well for 75 mins, until MF made changes. We will need the full side out today otherwise the result will be worse than the Stanleygame. I hope Sharples & Bell will be back.
We played them in the vase a few seasons back when we were in the prem & they were in their 2nd div. We lost -0! This time they are current NL champions!

There we go - hammered 6-1. What excuse has MF got for this?

They would have had a settled side.
We are still experimenting and trying players out.
There is not much time left until the start of the season.
We need to be sorted by then if we are to make a better start than last season.

Bell absolutely quality signing on today's display. Black lad in centre mid outstanding as well

I see colne have added more ex-Nelson lads, Sakeel joined them, couldn't get in at Nelson in the 1st division or 1874 last season and can't see him playing there either.

Shame Morrison has gone back to colne though, I thought it was a mistake to let him leave
