Development squad Vs Thackley
Anyone know where this game will be played?
Little Wembley or ACCROSS?
Weather permitting of course.

I can lend you an umbrella and a fold away chair Philip - I will even buy you a coffee!!
Should be a good game pal as we lost over there 1-0 with a very poor team.
This will really measure any improvements we have made this season.
Uk weather watch for Accrington on Thursday - no rain from 3pm - 10pm

Re: Development squad Vs Thackley
Well 2-1 to Thackley and I'm afraid the Manager must take full responsibility for being tactically poor tonight.
The game started quite brightly and for the fist 20 minutes Nelson were 1 - 0 up and in complete control.
The manager then made the first inexplicable tactical error by pulling Brooks back to screen the defence who were in complete control of their lone striker.
This immediately allowed Thackley back into the game and they begun to dictate the tempo as they started to push forward.
His second error was rather than put it back as it were he then pulled a second midfielder Sudderick to also screen totalling isolating Dom Mahoney.
This then caused major confusion in the defence as we had far too many players in deep areas and very often more than one player going for the ball.
The Manager then left the game before the end and didn't try and change it back before he went.
The last ten minutes saw Brooks abandon this tactic and get forward more and this immediately put Thackley on the back foot as he linked up well with Mahoney once again and Nelson started to get back in the game.
I felt sorry for the lads as there is a lot of quality in this team but they must be set up right and play to the right tactics.
Young Luke came on at left back and immediately shored up their right wing threat and in truth should have been on from the start.
Very poor performance from the Manager tonight let's hope he learns from this and remember the old adage "If it ain't broke - don't fix it"
I just don't understand why he did it.
