This is the one - Hanley v 1874.

I think I have worked it out correctly in that -

If this game is a draw and because 1874 still have to play Formby then a victory over Colls and we are promoted regardless of any other result.

Yep that's correct, or if they draw or lose at Holker on Saturday, what a day the 5th could be!

I disagree.

If tonight's game is a draw;
Hanley can still get 83 points by winning all their remaining games.
1874 can get between 81 and 84 points by winning most or all their remaining games.
Formby can get between 86 and 89 points by winning most or all their games.

Nelson are on 77 points therefore a win against Colls will only put us up to 80 points.
That's 5 points (or 4 points and goal difference) short of promotion.

As things stand we will still need to win two out of the other three games unless teams drop points elsewhere.

On a brighter point, Rochdale will be absolutely knackered by the time we play them so it might not be as hard a game as we all imagined.

My view is that we need 2 wins out of 4 for promotion, 3 to be champions

No doubt neither of the two teaks tonight can afford to lose

With that result we still need 4 wins to guarantee the championship and 3 to guarantee promotion.

Formby ..... 86 - 89

Northwich ..... 83 - 86

Hanley ..... 82
