New Era under Eastwood
Early indications are looking good.
3 tough pre season fixtures played and not outclassed in any of them.
I noticed Bradford P.A took Consett apart yesterday 7-0 away so our 1-1 draw looks more than creditable.
Yesterday's game could and should have been won by the Admirals but most importantly the team is showing positive signs at both ends of the pitch.
Can't wait for the season opener as this team is improving every game.

Absolutely agree, only saw the BPA game and thought certainly 2nd half we more than matched them.
Nice opener to start the season as well after the FA Cup game!

It's been the same consistency from the management in every game JK - he has set them up more defensively in the 1st half and more attacking in the second with a change of personnel.
This is the only way you can test your entire squad on who is up to the season's challenge.
Every single player has been given plenty of minutes on the pitch to show what they are about and many have done themselves proud as the majority have not played at this level before.
Our average age v Fylde yesterday was just 19 and hasn't gone above 23 during the entire pre-season.
You can already see the professionalism emanating from the management through the players. The team all encourage each other instead of criticising any mistakes as there is no big time charlie's in the team and no-one on big bucks - just young lads grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow under Phil, Gerry and Jerome. I should also mention the physio John Dawson whose pro experience will be invaluable.
Massive congrats to Fayaz and Adam for bringing this management team to the club.
