Re: The Derby!
With 1874 & Hanley not having fixtures today and Atherton's game being lost to the weather Nelson have an opportunity to go 7 points clear.
Granted, other teams will have games in hand, but I prefer points on the board.
Lets go for it.

Re: The Derby!
Well, the bragging rights are ours - for the moment at least.
The first thing to mention is the tremendous work the ground-staff are doing to ensure we don't lose games to the weather giving us a psychological advantage over the rest once we've wrapped up the points.
Some major plus points today -
Finchy (who has been exceptional recently) suspended and replaced with Botham who looked tidy and unruffled at the back with Melling.
Lloyd was outstanding and showed a lot more going forward today - a bit more weight on his passing and he would have had a faultless display.
Ben (I can play anywhere) Hoskin slotted in at left back and never really looked troubled showing just how versatile he really is.
Grimes lead by example and counteracted the Darwen muscle in the middle and dictated the tempo like a captain should.
Hession was outstanding and should have had a hat-trick but he is getting better and better now he is not giving in to peer pressure and making his own decisions.
Mark and Tim must be very pleased with the performance and result in what could have been a potential banana skin but ended up another routine home win with style.
Plenty of quality through the squad now and pleasing to see Morrison back in the mix and getting playing time under his belt. We just need Nat Taylor fit and I think this squad could win the league championship this season and next.
3 more points on the board but really need to back that up with the same next week.
Ashton here we come (Now that Philip Berry has told me where it is)
